Build your own Chatbot, Enhance your Social Media Strategy

In recent years, search engines are known to be quite popular. When a keyword is entered, the website can display the results of the search. Social media marketing has also skyrocketed, especially during a pandemic. How do you go viral positively on social media? It is undeniable that social media has become the center of attention for people today and marketing strategies have changed from time to time in order to adapt well. One of the most well-known marketing strategies in today's era is Chatbot.

Through KSP Season 9 Episode 5 held by ISTTS, webinar participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge about chatbots. This webinar will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 with the theme "Build Your Own Chatbot, Enhance Your Social Media". This webinar was presented by Dr. Esther Irawati Setiawan, S.Kom, M.Kom as the Head of the Information Systems D3 Study Program, which was attended by internal and external participants through the Zoom platform and YouTube live streaming.

What is a Chatbot? Chatbot can be interpreted as a computer program based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) aka virtual robots that can simulate conversations like humans in general. There are 3 types of chatbots, namely Bot, AI, and AI Empowered Bot. The bot will automatically respond without needing to be monitored. Bots are very dependent on AI when making decisions or considering next steps. Meanwhile, AI Empowered Bot is a combination of AI and Bot.

The chatbot is "Next Level Conversational Marketing". Today, customers want to get the information they need quickly and easily. This chatbot feature is certainly very helpful on the brand side because it is available 24 hours, so it can save business operational costs and Customer Service services. On the other hand, customers are also happy because they don't have to wait for a reply when asking customer service.

Statistics prove that the need for chatbots will continue to increase. In 2022 chatbots are predicted to dominate because they are supported by the pandemic. So that direct interaction between humans will decrease and will be replaced by interaction through social media. In addition, the development of AI has been rapid and Natural Language Processing (NLP) resources have been widely shared, one of which is Google.

The webinar was then followed by a Dialogflow demo. After that, we continued with a quiz through Kahoot! For 3 winners will get attractive prizes from the speakers. The webinar then ended with a question and answer session between participants and resource persons about the chatbot, then continued with filling out the attendance list and taking a group photo.
